Hey there,
June has been a good month for testing. I've been living with these four products for the past few weeks and they've all earned their spots in different ways — one by sounding better than I expected, one by removing a monthly fee I didn't want to pay, and one that just quietly sits on my desk doing its job every single day.
As always: I'll tell you what I didn't recommend too. Scroll to the bottom for what I passed on. 👇
🎧 Pick of the Month
I've been reaching for these every morning since they arrived and didn't expect to feel this way about a pair of headphones. The sound is genuinely balanced — not the bass-heavy Beats of five years ago — and the 50-hour battery means I charge them maybe twice a week.
Pros
- Balanced sound — not bass-heavy
- 50-hour real-world battery
- Multipoint: two devices at once
- USB-C charging
- Comfortable for long sessions
Cons
- No active noise cancellation
- No EQ app
- On-ear fit not for everyone
⚡ 3 Quick Picks
TP-Link Deco X55 WiFi 6 Mesh System (3-Pack)
Set this up for a friend dealing with dead zones. Under 20 minutes start to finish. WiFi 6 makes a real difference when you have a lot of devices competing. Covers 6,500 sq ft — worth it if you're still running a single router.

eufy Security 4K Indoor Camera E30
The no-subscription model is what sold me. Most cameras charge $3–10/month for cloud storage — this one doesn't. Local storage, 4K, 360° pan & tilt, HomeKit compatible. Best no-fee camera I've tested.

Anker USB-C 5-in-1 Hub
4K HDMI, two powered USB-A 3.0 ports, powered USB-C data port — all from one compact dongle. If you're on a MacBook and constantly swapping cables, this stops that. No drivers, no setup. Just works.

Sony WH-CH520 Wireless Headphones
These almost made the list. At around $40–50 the value is real and the 50-hour battery matches the Beats. But side-by-side the sound felt noticeably thinner, the build feels more plastic-y, and the fit wasn't comfortable for longer sessions.
That said — if $40 is your ceiling and you mostly listen to podcasts, the Sony is a perfectly honest pick. I'm not calling it bad. I'm just saying the Beats is better if you can swing it.
